About Us

Civil Air Patrol Escondido Cadet Squadron 714 is located in San Diego County, California, in Group 8 of the California Wing of Civil Air Patrol

As a composite squadron, our membership consists of senior members 18 years of age and older and cadet members between 12 and 21 years of age. Our Squadron contributes to all three of the core Civil Air Patrol programs: Aerospace Education, the Cadet Program, and Emergency Services. To learn more about our programs, please click here. Escondido Cadet Squadron 714 meets at Escondido Charter High School (ECHS) in Escondido, California. The excellent facilities at ECHS provide an ideal enviroment for squadron activites.

OUR LOGO

Our logo (shown above was created in the standard format set by the Air Force Historical Research Agency (AFHRA) for squadron-level units. 
-The white tiger, and burgundy and silver colors, represent the ECHS mascot and school colors. 
-The blue field represents our affiliation with the United States Air Force. 
-The three stars in the lower field represent the Civil Air Patrol's three missions. 
-Our squadron motto, Paratus et Fidelis (Ready and Faithful), is derived from the Cadet   Oath, in that our members stand ready to be of service to our community, state, and nation.
